I also thought we could all chip into a pot (maybe $5.00 each) and use it at the restaurant/bar to make sure no Iraq/Afgan veterans or recent vets have to buy a beer--beers on us! Also, it will be up to the riders and captains on how to split expenses....maybe a free beer from the crew to the captains......I'm gonna figure out a way to get a free beer out of this somehow!

I'm answering all your PMs. Duuuuuhhhh....My phone # is 409-739-1086. Everyone....please feel free to offer suggestions!!!!! Most of you are responding with info, but some of you aren't letting me know if you are a rider or a captain (have a boat). Thanks for those who have volunteered to provide transport so far.Captain, Galveston County Blue Team Fish Killers

I will ride w ya!Originally posted by Termo View PostWhen this weather clears up, I'm putting together a wade trip for anyone on FWE interested. My idea is to get together a few boats that can carry 3-4 members each to get together with me and others and fan out over some shorelines I know and make a morning wade (also some big reefs in the middle of Dickinson Bay that can hold a lot of waders). I know some spots reachable only by boat, but have a reputation for producing some quality fish. The areas will be up in my neck of the woods (San Leon/Dickinson/Kemah areas). Around lunch, we can buzz over to Latitudes (or any other of a number of waterside restaurants) for a meal and a beer before going back out if anyone wants to. There is a boat ramp there, at Moses Lake, the Dickinson bridge (and others) in the area. This is not a tournament, but bragging rights will surely be involved. It will be a weekend (day) trip, so everyone has a chance to participate.
This a chance for a fishing meeting of the members where we can leave politics and any philosophical disagreements at the shoreline and just go fish hunting. All are welcome. You can let me know on this thread if you may be interested and can provide a boat for transport or you will need to ride-along. PM me if with your phone number if you are interested.
We have plenty of time to do this, and I doubt this month will provide the tides and weather necessary. Again, contact me if interested. I already have a few people itching to go.

So far, I'm thinking sometime in March, if we can get a weekend day with light wind and enough tides to cover the shallow bay shell reefs. Keeping an eye on the forecast, but I don't have much confidence or put much stock in those idiots. Lots of planning to do since the list of interested is getting longer by the hour. Looks like there will be enough transport boats to go around....but I believe riders should be carrying beer ice chests for the Captains.....they tend to drinks a bit!
