  • Jumbile and Carancahua Cove?

I'm gonna be making another trip down in the middle of March staying in Jamaica Beach canals and we are bringing the boat and kayaks. Just curious if the fishing around these coves are any good around the geotubes and shell racks? I know there are a lot of hazards around there and that is why I want to use the kayaks around these spots and will be able to get in there and check them out? May want to paddle to a couple different coves depending on wind. Open to any suggestions.

    Thanks guys

You definitely want to check those areas out with your kayak if you never been there before. Google earth can give you a good idea areas of interest. Ive never really had an outstanding day over there but it hold fish.

All those south shore coves are good at times. Just go give it a shot see how you do. Idle around if you're in the boat so you can back out of trouble if you get in it.
      Shut up and FISH!!

I have already been looking at my map and google earth, I was just wondering if anyone has had any success. I saw some boats hanging out around there back in October but couldn't tell if they were catching anything.

I've had plenty of success in both spots. Just depends on conditions. Drift through and look for bait -- if it's there - stick with it.

              What Boom said.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

Middle of march says you ? Well , heck , you can check the tides in advance for positioning yourself for an incoming or outgoing tide , but , who knows what direction and how hard the wind will be blowing . We all have to wait to find out .

March is one of my favorite months in West Bay. Shorelines and drains should be outstanding. Throw Fatboy floaters or big topwaters.

I've had really good luck with reds up near the tubes! Definitely go by kayak. Lot of shallow spots!
