I got a call from the Anahuac police and galveston last night, they said the yak was found sunken on a shoreline way down from where I was fishing .
The weird thing is that the back handle was broken, the drain plug was pulled out, the gps, fish finder was still on it but unclipped so it slid right off the base unit and is full of water, the rod and reel are still with it but spooled , I didn't leave my line in the water on that rod so I have no idea at all about that one, the milk crate and tackle bag with all my lures and terminal tackle are gone along with tackle trays.
It's anybody's guess at this point.
Needless to say I don't need anymore donations , I'm pretty sure after I clean it out and get a chance to do some inspection it'll be fine.
Anyone who wants a refund just call or message me and I'll have absolutely no problem sending your money back.
The only stuff that needs to be replaced is the fishfinder, lures and tackle trays/bag and probably the reel. It was submerged for quite a while and sounds horrible but I haven't opened it up yet.
I'm wondering if because of how much public exposure we gave this issue if some dumb kid decided he could sell anything that was listed or in pictures and dumped it or if someone just decided they could use a finders fee.
Thanks again to everyone here who helped keep this situation under control.
I've got to go post on all the other sites now, if you posted on any sites besides 2cool then please inform them of the situation too.
