My name is Heather, this is my boyfriend Brandon's account. I don't know what to do about the current situation he is in. He launched at the annhuac wildlife refuge boat ramp. He waded the north shoreline toward the point maybe Crystal poont trying to wade back to the boat ramp on the north shoreline and he got stranded, his kayak came outrooted from where he had it In the hard sand. It's getting cold and dark out and I spoke to the police and they are having him wade through the marshes or something and being picked up to be taken back to his truck. All of his belongings including car keys, wallet, his gear, his fish finder he got for christmas and everything are in his kayak and it took us so long to accumulate all of that for hi passion for fishing. He will be okay I am hoping but I had to try to see if anyone could possibly help him find his kayak before he loses it completely. It means everything to him. We can offer a small reward, just don't have too terribly much, but we will do whatever it takes. Someone please? Anyone? Don't worry about the stuff it's all replaceable. The main thing is he is gonna be ok. It's pretty windy out there. There is no telling where that kayak will end up. If it doesn't turn up we can get him back on his feet again as far as tackle and other equipment. The main thing is getting back to safety. -

I know the main concern is first and foremost
his safety. I've been bawling my eyes out, but I'm sure they will get to him and he will be safe. I'm just so scared and worried, and I know how losing all of his stuff he worked so hard for is going to be devastating. I just don't know what to do to help This situation. Didn't mean to come off that I only cared about the gear and everything, but I just don't want him to lose what he's worked so hard for his life to accumulate for his passion.Comment

Next time call the Coast Guard. They are in the Search and Rescue business. They can send a helicopter and have him in no time if they know where he is. As far as getting stuff back, need to find kayak first. Hard to do in the dark. Someone will find it floating tomorrow and maybe contact him if they are a true sportsman. long walk through the marsh to any kind of road without a compass or gps to guide you! Really do hope this all turns out for the best and please keep us posted. Might give the Coast Guard a heads up anyways...Comment

I contacted the police who stated they were getting in touch with marine help, whatever that meant, turns out they are trying to just get him to get to the bank somehow o something... I don't know. I will definitely kept yall updated!Comment

REALLY hard to walk in the marsh at night. Give the USCG a call and they can co-ordinate with the police to save time AND his energy...Comment

I called the coast guard right after it was suggested. They're even going to try and find his kayak so he can get homE.Comment

Let us know when he is safe......coast guard will be there fast. The good thing is he is on hard ground and safe. Be a little different if he was out in the middle of the bayComment
