  • Any advice appreciated

My son is visiting from Quebec (-15 degrees today). We are going out tomorrow, Wednesday. We can go to either Trinity, Texas City or Tiki as the easiest to get to. Never tried West Bay. ANY advice as to where, what type of water(channel, reefs, depth etc). Been out 3 days with very little luck and would like to finish with a good day. Not looking for your honey hole, just something that may work. We have a 17' CC , trolling motor and GPS. Thank y'all!

I would run out of the closest place and just work the area like you normally would. You two will enjoy the day and it will be a great memory to him
long after your gone. I always use a little dead shrimp as a fall back.

Weak tides, low tides in the daytime, brackish water, south winds and fog tomorrow are going to make for some tough going for you guys. If I could go to Trinity or Baffin, I'd do that over Galveston Bay(s) in a second.
