  • Started 2015 with a skunk. But had a great day on the bay.

First nice day 2015 , Dropped 3 crab traps on bayview reef south of kema, nothing , fished my last good spot north of of todds dump
and nothing, went around the eagle point side and south of todds dump and found the current howling inbound over there. Also noticed
lots of obstructions , really need a trail or good gps over there. Also found places that were 6 feet dropping off into 12 feet, I was showing fish in those deep holes but could not get a bite. Watched some guys in a bass boat experience the wave from a passing ship, I bet they do not do that again. seems that the south side of tods dump is some what protected , keep your eyes open you can see the waves breaking a long way off over there. Fished some in the kema flats , we basically did not lose a dead shrimp all day.
Boat worked great , ran up to 45 mph and 5ooo rpm on taylor lake , trying to burn off fuel. Headed in about 4 , it got cold.

Been there, done that....sorry to hear I'm not the only one not catching fish. Going Monday with dynamite. (In case Coast Guard is reading this....NOT REALLY!)
