The wife wanted me to take her to the gun range today . Since I did my 3am to 9pm marathon fishing day yesterday and today am in traction with a morphine drip , I told her another day . This is an about face for her . A harsh dose of reality starts making that second admendmet a wise constitutional feature .

Teach her to blast em! But I still think you should move to the island! All my family are very good shots especially my son!

I hate to tell you about my fishing excursion in Dulac Louisiana. BUT I WILL….. It was a very memorable experience. Flynuts friend Captain Jeremy Chavez/Catching Tales Fishing Charters put us on bull reds with fly rods all day long. This young man had the eyes of an eagle and the patients of Jobe. He put us up in a house that he was using for free. Naturally we took him out to dinner and gave him $ that he tried to refuse….. I did not know but this time of year the bull reds are roaming around in their estuary system. It was about a 30 minute boat ride in Flynuts Maverik in some really cold weather to the fishing area but low and behold the fishing was stellar. I have not seen so many bull reds just floating and scooting around that you can see from your boat. The first day was blustery but the fish were eager to eat. They would take a purple and black five inch fly ten feet from the boat. The next day the wind was dead calm and were very finicky but we still managed to boat some bulls and big black drum. You need to go try it out if you get a chance. It was something you would not believe until you experience it. Later!

I'll take her to the gun range. I live pretty close to American Shooting Center. I spend quite a bit of time up there shooting.

Thanks guys . Since then I've heard other stories of home invasions that turned out much worse . I thank God for His protection . My wife's mind is still obsessed by it all . She's discussed several ideas .... Dead falls , poisoned punji sticks , crocodile filled moat , razor wire , pack of ravenous wolfs , death ray , and renting out a guest room to hormonal recently jilted women with a Chip on their shoulder to name a few .

...glad everyone is OK and you have upgraded the "perimeter" there at the house. Might also get one of those metal signs like I have that warn "No Trespassing! Violators will be shot Survivors will be shot again". Only person that will walk up to the front door is Mike the mailman. My Chief of Police usually stays in the driveway when he comes by to shoot the breeze!

I've disconnected my home alarm system and de-registered from our Neighborhood Watch Program.

I've got two Pakistani flags raised in the front yard, one at each corner, and the black flag of ISIS in the center lawn.

The local police, sheriff, FBI, CIA, NSA, Homeland Security, Secret Service and other agencies are all watching my house 24/7.

I've never felt safer and I'm saving $49.95 a month … Mike
