Glad all is OK. You can obtain a DVR camera system (monitor on the internet/iphone) for about $300, if you install yourself.

Our pitbull slept through our girls coming home at 6am this morning (jeez). But, the mailman is afraid to drop the mail - he hears the beast on the other side of the door.

Sorry to hear about this. Glad everyone is ok. Stuff is replaceable, people not so much. But I know the worst thing is the violation you feel. Scum like this needs to be stopped. Hopefully someone takes care of them in the act.

Thanks for the support and suggestions . Gate lock guy came out and said our dead bolt gate lock can be pried open with a crow bar . A electric gate or magnetic gate as one recommended is the way to go . My wife is freaking out about me leaving early to fish . She's going to have this place locked down like Fort Knox before it's said and done .

Dang , they hit a third house between 10pm-3am taking the pin out of the drive gate hinge and entering the garage to steal a law mower and power tools . The crack heads were busy last night .

Glad you and your family are ok. This gives you a feeling of being violated.
Upgrading some of those things is a good idea. Auto alarms, lighting and gate. I would expand your alarm system to
cover your garage.

Did your wife's purse have any KEYS in it. If it did they will probably be back.
I say this because this happened to my parents years ago. 2 weeks later their car was stolen.
That's how they ended up being caught. The idiots tried to run over a police officer when they were trying to
get away and were charged with " Attempted Murder of a Police Officer"

Well , the window is replaced , ADT alarm guy added window breakage sensor to front windows and all door window sensors checked , driveway light installed , gate guy out , lock guy out , and chain /padlock on gate as a temporary fix ..... Whew .

The old lady I mentioned lives 150 yards away alone on a half acre lot . As was her custom , she opened her back door at 7:30am one morning and was greeted by 2 masked guys with guns . Forced her inside and roughed her up to reveal valuables . Stole her car too . They knew her routine .

Seriously, I'm extremely happy no ones been seriously hurt so far , it's a powerful reminder that this type of thing can happen anywhere to anyone anytime.
