  • Leader Question

I just bought a new Curado and it came spooled with braided line (it was a return item and I got a good deal).

Question: Do you use a leader with braided line or just tie the lure/jig terminal to the braided line?

20# fluorocarbon with a loop knot at the lure.

Personal preference. I don't. But I don't use braid much either.

I tie directly to the jig head, tops, plain hook with plastic. No problems. Lord Bless.

I'm with Termo. I use braid on my spinning reels. Having a mono leader makes it easier for me to tie knots when changing baits. I think the leader gives the overall system a little bit of flex.

I've gone back to mono on my open face reels. I use a fluoro leader on mono also.

Use power pro 30# with a mono to braid not (NO SWIVEL) to a 20# ultraclear florcarbon with either a loop knot or quick connect at the end. I use a very long leader some 5'.

I use braid with a 20-25# flouro leader and a tony-clip for all my reels.

I use braid with no leader. Works for me.

I use a floro leader with my braid due to the braid working it's way in the split rings that attach the hooks on my top waters

Started out using it myself. I had a major injury on my left hand where it was nearly amputated and the feel of braid has much more sensitivity. I just really feel the bite better. Still usr it on my tops though.

Not at all. I use braid for popping corks and I've tried most everything else. Just like stren.
