Well my brother in law and a buddy wanted to get their sons out on the water a few weeks back to try to catch some fish. Luckily my wife did not have any honey do's for me that day and so we went. We arrived at our first spot and seen a light on and I took the crew by their and they were amazed of all the blowups that was happing. Got the kids really excited, there was two people fishing the light so we kept our distance, after a few minutes of watching them we trolled over to our first spot and started our drift, fourth cast and bam 20" trout, then a few more hook ups but they were all dings. So we fished there for 30 more minutes and we were not able to land another keeper but it was cool seeing them release and the smiles and yells were priceless. We went to a few other spots and we hooked up a few more keepers. Running low on bait I switched them to arties and then the real fun began. Seeing them land some keeper fish with a bonus 27" 7/8 #9 rubber lip caught by my nephew on a gulp swimming mullet on a 1/4 oz knotty hooker jig. switched everyone to that lure and they started to land some rat reds and a also hooked up a nice flounder. After the bite dies downed I took them to our last stop in deeeper water and boy did that pay off, my buddies son hooked up on the one houre jack and fought that sucker unitl he couldnt fight it any more. They were amazed of the bueaty of the fish and the strength of her as well. After one hour of fight and serveral un achoring we were able to land the second fish of the day. These kids were amazed and exhausted afte catching over 60 fish and releasing most of them. They told me they were looking forward to going to school to tell their friends and family about the amazing fishing trip. We only kept enough for a fish fry for that night. Great times on the bay. I also let them drive the boat which was another high light of the day for them. I am just glad that the fish decided to eat while we were out there. Tight lines
