So I got my Jack-O-Lantern carved, candle lit, sittin' on the front porch, got treats ready and . . . . . . nothin'???? Where are the kids? This is disconcerting. I go through all the trouble and not a single kid has the gumption to come around and say trick or treat? What's happened to Halloween? I'm shuttin' it down if nobody comes soon. I remember it was such a big deal when I was a kid. Bada (my grandmother) would make our costumes months in advance. Costumes I remember most, Casper, R2-D2, C3-PO, Boba Fett, Darth Vader (with a real helmet from Dan Post Studios), Confederate Soldier, replete with a real Enfield musket - Dad gum that thing was HEAVY! And finally, Morgus the Magnificent. Those were halcyon days. We'd re-use our costumes each year for Mardi Gras Day.

Well , there aren't that many shacks on Titlum Tatlum Bayou , getting the kids in the jon boat without one slipping out , the dark , Mosquitos , you're last around the bend . I hope you bought candy that you like .

I took my boys out tonight and they LOVED IT! 4 and 1.5 year olds... My street was not busy at all, but the interior of my neighborhood was great. Coachlaw, better luck next year, but its yhe thought that really counts.Comment

Too many stairs to climb here in Bayou Vista. Kids don't want to work that hard for their loot.
They did have a Halloween event for the neighborhood but I'm pretty sure it was more for the adults to meet up and drink

I had 11 . Right now I'm pounding down bags of M&M's . Already killed the peanut M&M's , my favorite . Let's see , Twix and Snickers left . Trying to figure out if they are right hand or left hand twist Twix . Two Twix and undecided . Testing will have to wait as those 2 were all that were left . I'm not feeling so well .
