  • East bay navigation

Winter time low tide navigation , I understand , can be dicey at the Far East end of East Bay . Is there a best route to Oyster Bayou and navigation in general from Frozen Point to Oyster Bayou ? Take the ICW then north between the east shore and Far East island ? Can one get to the north shoreline between Frozen Point and Oyster Bayou ? In general , navigating the area of Frozen Point to the east shore , ICW to the north shore . My 21 foot Explorerer is a shallow running flats boat . DPOP and Capt . Francis should be able to give information . What about places to fish there in winter ?

Friend of mine fishes that area a lot in winter. Catches a lot of big trout between those areas. Especially around the mouth of Oyster bayou. I will be taking the kayak there this winter.

Sounds like an Exploration is in order.

How else do you learn? I find/found many of my spots when I ran aground.

Exploring with your prop builds character. We have 4 kids at home running aground is a piece of cake compared to staying home on a Saturday morning.

Not my preferred method if it can be avoided . I'd like to get back to the ramp
and without damage if possible .
