  • Channel connecting Spanish Grant to Sea Isle

I was at Waterman a few months ago and asked the bartender about the dredge operation happening along the south shoreline of West Bay. He said "they" are dredging a channel that will connect Spanish Grant to Sea Isle.

I can't find any info on this via Google so curious if anyone has additional info on this? Why are they doing it? Who's paying? When will it be complete and will it be well marked?

I was fishing Snake Island Cove this past weekend and saw the dredge equipment working around Shell Island (I think).

    Any info would be appreciated.

I think the bartender bullchitted you. They have been working on marsh restoration along the south shoreline-not making channels for navigation. They are filling in some areas and making breakwaters/geotubes to protect the marsh. No channel I know of is being built. I could be wrong, but doubt it. You could check the C.O.E. website and that may show what the projects are.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. I started smelling chit when I couldn't find anything about it online. I found info on the dredge operation coming out of Lake Como... couldn't find any other mention of it. Thanks.
