  • 2.5 gallon point of service water heaters

my hot water heater is downstairs and it take forever to get hot water to the kitchen. i was looking at the 2.5 gallon under sink water heaters then noticed there's a tankless point of use water heater. does anybody have any advise or experience with either of these units and could make a recommendation? it seems like tankless would be the way to go.
    thanks,

We tried a tankless unit in our cottage on Anegada. It was one of the inexpensive units - and we quickly replaced it with a real water heater.

To get a real working on-demand hot water heater required much more electrical power than we could supply.

My parents went with a tankless when rebuilding their house after Katrina. It has not been a good thing thus far, and they did get the expensive one.

The house has no key. None needed on Anegada!
