Any recommendations on push poles? I have looked at those offered by Academy and Bass Pro and them seem more suitable for freshwater. Would appreciate input from those more experienced than I.

If Mini doesn't hook you up, the ones from Academy, the telescoping ones, are fine. You do need to replace the duck bills on them every year or so because they make those inexplicably out of mild steel.From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook.
