  • Come on October!

Finishing up my classic read "Plugger", and MAN AM I PUMPED FOR OCTOBER!! My work schedule is going to allow me 5-7 days of fishing in what I'm being told is "an excellent month for salt water action". I also plan to get some gigging/night fishing/tent camping in (prior to some early morning wades). Been doing to research on tides and lunar reports and some of my days off happen to fall during favorable conditions. Exciting times ahead.

True dat! October is a great month for all fishing. Seems that first hint of winter really gets everything feeding. Have caught trout limits in the surf before, reds great everywhere of course, and gigging is exceptional if you can catch a good tide.

I like November better. Right around the start of deer season.

I will be heading down tomorrow after lunch. Bringing a guy from work who has fished a total of 3 times in his life. He's very excited about going. I wanted to get him in the surf, but i'm guessing it's going to be too rough. I think we're gonna make a wade down by SLP instead. Hopefully I can put him on a bite of some sort. I'll be interested to read some reports on how you guys do.

Surf should be smooth with that north onshore breeze should be very clear conditions.
