Colorado River Chicks

I had the pleasure of taking part of the Redfish Rodeo 20th Anniversary. The weather was not ideal however as we do down here in Galveston I took care of these lovely ladies and we had a great time on and off the boat. Here are some pictures. I must share a story - one of the ladies told me that she wanted to catch a Redfish and issued me a challenge to find them - Well challenge accepted and we found a few running in Westbay. She hooked up on the second drift and the reel started to sream ad she did as well. Then she was asking for help because she could not handle it. I could not help her per rules so one of the other ladies grabbed the rod from her, didnt realize that it was set up as a left handed she did what she could to get the toad close then some how she spun the reel backwards and spun the handle off. The Redfish did not want any part of the boat and was fighting like a champ. Thats when the other ladie grabed the line with their bare hands (Fins Braid) and started to pull the toad back got it close enough for me to net, we landed it after a 30 minute fight. I tell you these ladies were not going to let this one get away. lol good time.
