skunked???Lights???

Went yesterday evening and arrived at galveston at 5pm. Fog was thick but no rain, and the wind was strong till about 6 it died some. Went bank fishing and caught two trout one was right at 14in and the other was 10in. Do u consider catching undersize to be skunkked? I was in west bay bank fishing with gulp under popping cork.

At 7 I headed to under the causeway to bank fish, but as I arrived all the lights were off. Was going on, do they turn them off to keep people from fishing around there. So since I had no where that was lighted up to go, I decided to head back...I wonder if anyone in FWE site that have a fishing pier with lights will let me fish from their pier. I pretty much dont know where else to bank fish with some lights, and do not know anyone from galveston.

ANy information will be appreciated, because their times I will like to go during the week, and fish the evening but I need some light.

Yep, sorry. Must be keeper sized target fish (I would say game fish, but flounder, sheephead, drum aren't game fish) landed to avoid the skunk.

As for the lights, I've wondered how good those causeway lights are. They don't seem that intense (compared to a very narrow spotlight) and they are spread out so maybe the fish are too spread out. Who knows, I've never actually checked them out, although there is a good launch nearby.

Try Tiki island (Fat Boy's launch) or Pirates's beach (Marina at the back of Lake Como launch). Those lights will be on.
