It is the "it will not happen to me attitude" that's the killer the pass is the same ole pass. Water flows through it all day. Some days more rapid than others. If you lose respect for it you're asking for trouble.

That's too bad. Doesn't have anything to do with being careless. Not like the **** that swim and drown under the bridge that are dumb assess and cant read the signs. Two guys wade fishing w their boat anchored at bird island. One probably got in trouble and the other tried to help him. Same thing I'd do to try and save/help a friend in trouble.

My wade belt is a wade aid flotation belt that floats me . No way would I be near SLP without it or a PFD . In fact one or the other should be worn at all times because you can get in trouble anywhere . Look up ROOT CANAL's rescue of a guy wading Sea Wolf Park when a boat sucked out the water . I see guys swimming neck deep to the surfs third bar . That's asking for trouble .
