Took a buddy from Illinois down to San Luis yesterday. Lots of wind chop, and a good amount of sea weed coming in. Fished croakers with no takers, but caught a whole mess of large whiting on dead shrimp. Buddy said it was the most fish he'd ever caught in a day, which is good enough for me. Yaked out a couple of shark baits early evening, but the sea weed was too thick, and they both got washed back in pretty quick. Good trip over all though. Anybody know how the weed is in Surfside near the jetty?
