I recently purchased a home in Sea Isle and I am very unfamiliar with the West Bay. Does anyone have any suggestions. Should I hire a fishing guide for the day or would any of you fine gentlemen familiar with the bay care to show me around.

It can be difficult to navigate if you haven't done it before - also depends of what type of boat you have. Lots of good guys on here full of advice - also guys that fish all of the time that would probably let you jump in the boat with them for some gas money. Take it slow and go get em!

A guide can also be a good idea.

What he and he said. Also get a boating map for West Bay from Academy, it'll help some.
I'd highly recommend a guide for a day, as well as the Trout Support videos.

GOOGLE EARTH can be most helpful for a lay of the land (bay) so to speak.

Go to one of our meetings (arm benders) and introduce yourself to the gang. You can learn a lot about fishing, drinking beer, eating hot wings and perhaps find new friends. Keep track of the board when they are announced and attend one. Welcome aboard.
