Seaweed

Thinking about getting my son out and hitting the surf with the long rods but don't want to make a wasted trip. Anyone know how the seaweed is down there?

Chip I was b/t Access 4 and 5 in SS yesterday morning with my girls. Seawood was not a problem at all. Long Rods would be great. The current was Ripping like a son of a gun though! Good Luck

This was Sea Isle beach last week. Still a mess but the seaweed has stopped coming in. There were several groups fishing the surf.

I was at Jamaica beach Friday and put out my long line. By the time I got back to the beach on my kayak, it had about 50lbs of seaweed on it and was on its way down the beach. From the beach the seaweed didn't look bad but once you walked out into the water there was a bunch of it in small clumps and also a bunch drifting about 6" underwater. That being said, the trout were biting and I managed to get 4 with one being 22".
