So my good buddy Kenny decided to bail on me and spend time with his wife instead of going fishing with me. Some people I tell ya..... HA HA. So I decided to make a late start of it and left the boat slip around 830. I hadn't hit greens in some time and there was a really nice outgoing and since its 10 minutes away off I went. Only one boat was back in there and they were throwing dead bait. I anchored up right past the cut and saw a little stir where the current was flushing so I grabbed my top water rod with a solid chrome spook jr and HOLY COW what a day it turned out to be. On the first cast this beauty of a red at 26" nailed it then it was pretty much either a trout or a red on nearly every single cast. The poor bait chunkers in the boat down from me where blown away, but not nearly as much as I was. All the trout went about 18-19 and all the reds hit the slot. I boated 14 reds and lost count of the trout. Its been a very long time since I've seen them turned on like this and if you fish greens you know its a hit or miss as you have to catch it on a outgoing from very high tide. So of coarse I just had to give Kenny a call and RUB HIS FACE IN IT....GWAAHAHA. The only downside to this entire day was I tied on this yuzuri holographic rattler and a big red took it from me. If you have ever had to buy these lures they are not cheap. So at the end of the day I guess I payed for my trip. Hardest thing I did was have to leave with them still biting. I'll post up some pics once I download them from my phone.
