Surfside recon Sunday 7/13 @ 04:30hrs.

Sky mostly clear. Full moon.
Wind calm. Just a breath from north.
Surf is moderate to rough here in town.
Can't judge color. Doesn't seem like a lot of weed right here in town.
Tide up and still coming in.

Thank you for the recon. Im going to be heading out there this evening. Does anyone know if the Kings are still running up and down the jetty? They make it difficult to trout fish.

I tried in the surf out in front of the abandoned houses.
Nothing of note. 7 or 8 dinks.
Saw a few folks catching.
Left about 8:15/

Ya'll remember to shuffle those feet,....a guy called in this morning to the 610 outdoor show and said he just got hit in the ankle by one at sunrise. That'll ruin a trip fast.

I heard about the kings at the SS jetty too, said it was fast and furious for a bunch of people.

Just checked the jetty.
Water is beautiful green in beach side pocket at Surfside.
Wind still low. Very little weed.
Eleventy zillion beachgoers everywhere. Little ones running every place so be very careful if you drive the beachfront street.
Surf is about like it was this morning.
Also checked further down to SLP. The closer to the pass you go the worse the surf color looks.
The area from Access #5 to SLP is chocolate mud in the surf out to about 100-150yds. Weed still bad.
Pass water looked like shiat on Brazoria side. Pretty decent green on Galveston side.
Cold Pass looked murky green.

Is it supposed to get worse as the day wears on, or will it flatten out. It looked really good on the cams an hour ago.

Think I'll try the jetty itself in the A.M.
Been a loooong time since I've fished the rocks.
Hope the water is as nice as it is today.
