Surf Blown out

    That's what I was thinking .... about kayaking past the brown water . The surf appears manageable enough to cut through the waves without getting dumped . But the weed problem is an unknown factor . There's got to be some weed out there but how much .

              I had a little surprise in the knee deep flats at the Pass...Galveston side. Right at sunup, about a 5ft shark swam within 20 yards of me. He made for quite a sight meandering along with its complete back out of the water. I was perfectly still and watched for awhile, then decided to launch my spook jr across his back. Soon as that line touched his back...he exploded and high tailed it out! Kind of cool seeing it....then kind of eeery afterwards!
