You might want to give Mulates in Breaux Bridge ( just out of Lafayette before the swamp) a try. Nice spot if you like Cajun cuisine.

Stop at the The Best Stop in Scott, La. (Hwy 93 exit, just west of Lafayette) for the BEST pork cracklins ever. We don't pass either way without stopping for a bag of them.

The Best Stop is our favorite as well.
Acadiana’s best stop for boudin, cracklins, fried boudin balls and all things Cajun since 1986. Visit our Scott, LA supermarket, order Best Stop To-Geaux, or ship your favorite Cajun specialties nationwide.

In New Orleans, if you like strong drinks, order a Monsoon at Port of Call. 838 Esplanade Ave. They put it in a to go cup They make a great burger too. Don't forget to get coffee and beignets at Cafe Du Monde. Get there early as there is always a line.

If you're passing through Breaux Bridge around lunch time, stop at Poche's for a plate. It is just a little north of I-10.

I ate myself "sick" all around Breaux Bridge a couple of weeks ago.
