To the guys in the Bass Cat boat that we towed in from Hannas last Wednesday. Sorry I can't remember your names,but would like to hear what you found out on the 2003 200hp Mercury motor. Just curious for my own knowledge in case mine does the same thing.

I have two 2003 Mercs-it's either the injectors (mine's carbs), stator, starter, computer, cheapazz plastic clips for the throttle linkage, water pump, pistons, cylinder or driveshaft. Other than those, they're fine motors.

I wish I still had my 'Rudes from 87-never touched the lower unit-three rebuilds of powerhead (over 2200 hours) and ran like crazy.

I was just kidding about the Merc comment, I have a little 4stroke 60hp. My old fishing buddy had two 200 mariners that he had to take out the small thermostats and clean them. They looked like the same size as a .45cal shell. Good luck

The Pimp's Merc had 20 hours on it and I waked his azz blowing by him while he was being towed in with my buddies as clients! I bet he wakes me next chance he gets!

Flapper told me about Greg's motor, I can't believe it. That poor guy has had no luck with motors on that boat.

I think it was more like 5 hrs..and I didn't realize that was you! me, mudskipper, dpop in the towing bote could give the middle finger fast enough.

If I knew it was you JT, I would have done another circle!! Damn the luck. AP needs to get a 1" REAL rope-his towline snapped while in that small channel and yep, I figured it would snap just as you all towed him in front of that pushboat!!!

Well we had it made till the chicken-sheit, SOB in the tug put the throttle down when he saw it was close, so dpop gunned it and broke the towline or somebody would've been t-boned.
