8 mile road

I have been hearing about a good wading spot near 8 mile road, maybe I might check it out today any tips?

I imagine it will be very crowded and will have been pounded to death over this weekend. The usual drill is to park at the end of Sportsman Road and wade toward the islands. I know a lot of guys that fish there. It has never produced well for me but that is probably just me.

Be cautious going out today. I waded into SLP about 5:45 this morning. I walked out about 7:30 and there were 20 people lined up wading in every which way. Too many folks out today for me.
