  • Wow! Lots of boating incidents this weekend.

    Be careful out there guys.

So far there has been several bad boating accidents/incidents this holiday.
    Couple of fatalities on Rayburn.
Even a Game Warden severely injured.

Let me guess....how many drunks had accidents on jetskis (not you, Jeremy)? Haven't seen the paper yet this morning but I'm sure alcohol wasn't involved. I never fish on holidays for this reason....everybody just sort of loses their sanity on them. Thinking of getting some popcorn and drinks and going down to the end of the TC dike and watching the show at the boat ramp this evening.....now THAT's entertainment!

Yep, never been to the ramp to watch the show. Just from being there/using them on holidays, it can be a hoot!

On Sundays Dad used to take us to the big steep boat ramp on Lake Houston when we were not fishing or skiing. There were always someone making a big mistake from leaving the emergency brake slip off and submerging the car to forgetting to bolt down the tilt trailer and having the boat come off the trailer onto the concrete….

I used to use that ramp to go skiing. It is a mofo to back allll the way down. I think it may have been part of the old Hughes Tool Club.
