  • wind and weather

It seems to me the last couple years have produced some not so good weather patterns when it comes to picking days to fish. It's like we are three weeks to a month behind this year with frequency of fronts, temps., tidal levels. I can pretty much fish everyday but it's getting harder to find that morning when mother nature isn't pissed about something. Guess I'll drill me out a bowling ball, attach 30 yards of rope and market a new dredge anchor. My big drift sock is not to handy anymore this time of year.

If you think the wind is bad now, look at the forecast for tomorrow! March winds in April indeed.

I agree , the usual pattern weather wise has changed in the last few years . And it seems SW winds are the new Standard instead of SE . I don't think it's because I drive a truck or gaseous cows . It's a sign of the times .

It's hell to be retired and have to sit around and watch the wind blow, ain't it Bro. Guess I'll have to go back to work just to get out of the house.

This spring is very similar to last spring, which was cool into May. The SSW & SW wind traditionally blow May & June. The brown shrimp usually move into the surf the second week in May. The water temp is 74+ degrees and the trout are hitting top waters, but so are the big Gafftops!

It's the result of wind vortex from all the tax dollors being sucked into Washington DC .

I thought the winds were a result of the beer farts emanating from Sea Isle.

Let me know when you land that six figure job. I'm thinking of renting hang gliders off the seawall for a one way trip to VanVleck.

Post up or send me some pics of the 2012 season, termo. All those mega trout days when it didn't matter what we threw at 'em, or where we fished. I need some inspiration.

Here's a few good memories of me and you, me and Sisko's catches. I can't believe I didn't take pix of me and Don's 40 and 60 trout days last year. Here's a few (all artificial baits):
