  • Couple of Flounders

Man, I'm desperate to post a pic since the wind has kept me off the water for a while. Here is Comrade Harvey with the only 2 fish we caught yesterday....1-22", 1-15" flounders. We launched at Moses Lake and went outside the gate (last 4 times I tried Moses, we didn't get a bite-so we don't waste time there anymore) to some reefs around Dickinson Bay. Man, the water was LOW!. Water was clearing with the incoming tide and around 68 degrees. I'll be glad when the wind lays down and I can get back to my fishing grounds on the reefs and shorelines off Boliver. Till then, it's catch what what catch can.

Got my fry-daddy out and fixing to have a nice lunch. Wind is blowing on the island from the opposite direction, it was yesterday.

Good job guys. Came down to Bayou Vista yesterday and planned on fishing today for the first time in months..., didn't drop the boat when I stepped outside and felt/heard the wind!

Thanks guy's. Termo caught the good one. He had a throwback Sandie and a Louisiana legal red also. I managed the the little flounder and missed a couple bites. I think I made a shrimp tail fan out of him. Bite was tough. First time we'd been out since the oil spill. Nice day, lots of fun.
