You won't be disappointed...when I was whackin some good trout on a certain corky, that NO one had....I called David and he went looking in their stock from the fishing show that hadn't been unpacked, the next thing you knew...I owned 4 of them. 😁
Checkout those new Concept13 reels too...I sure hope they hold up as good as they fish new outta the box .

So true. I've been fishing my " wader special" out of the boat last four or five trips, but it doesn't know the difference. I'll stick with Lews til I hit the tar balls next month, then I'll pull out the shimano's.

Wish someone would open a tackle shop here on the island. There's a good spot on 75th and S for one. That way academy could concentrate more on selling their clothes, sunglasses, and tennis shoes.

I was at their place recently and they have all quality stuff . Met the guys and they were more than helpful . Capt. David makes super quality rods . I got a WADERLITE and it's excellent with top line components . They could be selling for more than the sticker price realistically . No junk stuff sold . I was happy to see they had TONYS CLIPS .

Right, David is a excellent rod builder and a teacher, and very patient guy. Ill post up some of his work when I get home.

That's a real nice trout you caught down there, Monte! I haven't had a catch like that in a good while. Maybe the surf will yield me one next month. Got my fingers crossed. Congrats, bro!

Harvey....it was off the hook good. Caught fish everywhere we went. Think I caught 9 reds and maybe 20 something trout...kept a good mess to let Docs cook for our dinner. That trout was literally the last one I caught and came on the heels of a 27.5 red. Rod handled beautifully. Looking forward to some surf action myself...not having to work OT anymore is starting to pay off!😁
