Made my way out to Dana cove to break in my new waders. Waded out and down the mucky shore line past two marker posts before heading back to wade the sandy bank of the cove. I found a variety of bottom structure sand, mud, grass, oyster. I didn't see any bait activity though. Started the morning throwing my black back Corky (my first attempt with a Corky). After about 50 cast with out a bite switched over to Spook jr in Bone...still no bites. Tried throwing New penny gulp on 1/8 still nothing. Finished up with a Norton Bull minnow before calling it a day at 2 PM. water was fairly clear to about 3 feet. Overall a very enjoyable wade even though it didn't result in any fish. I plan on making a few more trips out there before year end if only to enjoy being in the water again.
Water temperature: 54-55 degrees
SE wind 5-6 knots
