I'm in the market for a new bay boat and I'm looking to stay in the range of 40k. I'm looking for a 21-23 foot boat that can run pretty shallow and has a dry ride. Any suggestions?

Oh man .... Be ready to be overwhelmed . I have an EXPLORER which runs and sits very shallow, dry . My first ever boat . But , I wish for more open fore and aft room and more space between the consule and gunnels . The J&H is a fine looking boat with a lot of deck space . Good luck .GEORGE A. That Majek is sweet too . J&H , Majek don't make high sides ? . Explorer does both . You see more Explorers down south where it's all skinny water .GEORGE A. BRANARD, COLOR SERGEANT, CO. L, 1 ST TEXAS INFANTRY, HOOD'S TEXAS BRIGADE, C.S.A. : S.C.V.

If you want something that will run shallow, and run big water... check out the Desperado 22. I'm impressed by this boat every time I ride in it. Last trip in one was in Baffin in 2-2.5 foot chop.. we ran 45 no problem and it doesn't beat ya to death. It will be my next boat for sure. They have tons of storage and everything is just well designed from a layout and usability standpoint all the way down to the little details. Runs in 6", stepped Cat Hull... very efficient on plane.
