  • I'm pretty giddy. Parents coming for a visit from Da Big Easy.

I'm really looking forward to Friday! My parents are coming for a visit during Spring Break. They'll arrive Friday evening and stay through Wednesday. If the weather will cooperate, I'm going to take them both out to Blockade Runners at some point. Since I left home 14 years ago, I've missed them every day. Sure I see them Summers, Christmases, etc. But the only time I've had both Mom and Dad together here with me was not a happy time. They arrived in '05 just as Katrina bore down on their home. As tough as those times were, I still look back on them as some good old days. Strange how that is, isn't it?

That sounds great! Enjoy the time together.

Um, clean your room, get a haircut and take a shower before they arrive....

Just talked to 'em and they're headed out in the AM. They'll be heading to Austin first to visit friends, then back down my way by Friday. Yes, I need to get a haircut and do a lot of dishes before they get here. LOL.
