We went Saturday afternoon and struck out. Tried a few new to me spots with not a tap or trace of a fish in a thousand miles, then decided that if I wasn't going to catch fish it was going to be at a place I'd caught fish before. And that's what I did, caught nothing at my spots I'd caught before.

I went out with trophy trout man and a buddy of his last Saturday morning. Wind started out strong from the southeast and we had the usual too clear water around the confederate area.
I screwed up and jumed the gun heading for deeper water and missed a window that the other guy found on a color change that blew up west of south deer island and on the outside of the reef. Bout 5 ft of water. He had a limit of trout to about 19 inches within a pretty short time frame. Think he was throwing hot chicken assassins 1/8 oz heads.
I managed one decent flounder that afternoon.
I also found somebody's big drift sock up around tiki island / icw area if anybody's missing one let me know.
And yep, the wind shifted back out of the south east just in time for the paddle back !
I'll be able to keep up with plugger if I keep pulling stunts like that!Comment

Was out yesterday between 9:00am and 1:00pm and drifted several places between Shell Island and SLP. Not a nibble. Skunked!Comment

Very foggy/creepy walking back to truck in the dark tonight...I don't mind the dark but when you combine it with the fog it kind of freaks me out....I couldn't see my land marks unless I was <50yds away...caught 1 dink on a fat boy.Comment
