Not that much different than a Karankawa indian hunting the shallows at night with a torch and a spear.

I think I have a line one a 3 pounder, but the guy wants $1500 for it. No way that's happenin'.

In past encounters with such considerate yahoos a 4oz. wieght is the perfect gift from 30'. After a couple of near concussions they usually get the picture in HD an move on. Sometimes you just never know what a guy is thinking and sometimes I dont give a flip! Bump it down and move around!

Sounds like you were fishing the ship channel with the flounder rodeo. That's to be expected this time of year there.

I was wondering why ya kept throwing that spoon near me. Was glad ya moved-that scared the fish over to me and I limited on trout about 10 minutes after you pulled anchor and left. JT taught me to always pull within casting distance of someone throwing a gold spoon. Thanks Moonpie (and JT).

By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. They're probably just clueless and need to be educated. Just tell them in a nice way what they're doing wrong. If they get an attitude over it, just pull anchor and go elsewhere. At least you get to tell them what they were doing wrong. Then you can burn out as you're leaving.

I agree - they were probably newbies on the water and have no idea about how respectful fishermen treat other fishermen. Bokey's advice was right on - try to tell them politely that what they did was not proper. In most cases I would expect them to appreciate a little bit of guidance from someone who knows what is going on. Couple that with maybe a tip on how to catch a fish and you might have a new friend.

And - as Bokey suggested - if they do show some attitude, just pick up and leave - and do it in a way that they will remember.

Lord knows, I have done my share of dumbshit stuff because I didn't know any better. Thank goodness that was many years ago and I am now perfect.
