Regardless , congratulations to him for winning the big trout prize !

Congratulations to Capt . Greg and Daniel for winning first place stringer !

Ok , I have to ask . SALTWATER ASSAULT caught their fish early wading shallow mud as I understand . What about the others ? Got your fish drifting coves ,open bay , trolling shallow , wading mud shell ? We did some drifting early in a subdivision lake , waded bird island cove , snake island cove , shell island . Checked out ICW and Chocolate bay junction and west shore near there . No bait noticed , I got one dink flounder . I just what to see if there was a pattern .

Ari and I caught our fish in deep water around structure anchored up. We fish deep water the same way we wade stay in one spot and make a thousand cast and wait for a bite. Sorta an all or nothing approach it can get unbearable at times but we have never caught fish when running around in a boat. Soft plastics and mirrolures were bait of choice.

. Nice! Caught my two biggest the same way. Glad to know I'm not the only one with that approach.

Thank you , I wouldn't have guessed the staying in one spot part . Must be a favorite place with certain weather conditions . But , yes I can understand wasting time by motoring instead of fishing . But , then it can be that the winning team got it done at the second choice spot you considered . HAR ! Walking in or kayaking has one working an area thoroughly instead of moving hither and yon . Is Ari registered on WEA ? Like I said , I've read about Ari being an excellent fisherman . If he fishes with you then you must be in the same category . If you guys share some insights periodically we would appreciate it . Not specific places but helpful instructional information . Capt . Greg Francis has put up articles about fishing West Bay which was kind of him to share . And ...welcome to WEA !

Oh , sorry H. Maier had to lump you together with the likes of him ! HAR !
