Well......I successfully executed the plan, I fished like a wild man on the Anahuac shoreline from about 0630 til I don't know when. It was like fishing a water covered surface of the moon, absolutely devoid of life. Next time I'm going to read your reports and go to the dentist instead!Originally posted by plugger View PostWhat site did you get your data from ? HAR ! Read some of my posts . Well , the tide is predicted to be this , the water temperature is that , the structure is here , the wind is predicted to be this , so I'm fishing here . Zero , bust , nada , nothing , zero , nothing , standing there like a fool . Welcome to my life . Such is fishing . Ain't it grand !"Shut up and jerk your croaker" - James Fox

Oh , you went to the refuge . That place is an incoming tide fishing place only . A morning high tide will work before it starts going out . A hard north wind will push out the water even with an incoming . You could walk out 200 yards and not get the brand label of your waders wet . But still no gaurentee of fish / bait any time .GEORGE A. BRANARD, COLOR SERGEANT, CO. L, 1 ST TEXAS INFANTRY, HOOD'S TEXAS BRIGADE, C.S.A. : S.C.V.

Henry.....no wonder you ain't catching fish....try these tips: Always fish on an incoming or outgoing tide; try to catch the barometric pressure between 29.1 and 30.0 inches; mud or shell bottoms works best; go on days when the wind is between 0 and 25 MPH; live bait or artificials are the best baits. Those are the variables....the essentials are: beer, cigars and dynamite.Captain, Galveston County Blue Team Fish Killers

I went Friday morning. I walked in at 0630. Water level was still high and wind was light until the moon set. There was some mullet jumping but not much. Saw a pelican or two which always give me confidence. Water was off color from the SW wind but not horrible. Would of been a great day to fish if there were any fish.
