The shrimp and oyster boats in moses slip were sitting on the mud day before yesterday, when I launched to head out. I've always been of the mind that the full moon would bull up the tides, a little to a lot but I guess the WNW killed that assumption. Had hell getting the boat on the trailer that I normally drive right on. Thought I was going to have to tie off and wait for the incoming later that evening but danny and i managed to winch it up after some serious cranking. Lowest I've seen it in quite a while.

A low tide in winter can and will work to your advantage.
