1-10-14 report

Got out with lbtsoom ( Mike ) and fished some south shoreline coves this morning. Bite was fairly steady all day with lots of throwback trout but culled out a few keepers. Fish were caught on soft plastics and mike was putting on a clinic for me catching but I did end up with the biggest fish to save a little face after the embarrassing performance. Thanks Mike for a very nice trip. Enjoyed it, friend!

Had a great time Harvey! We managed 5 trout and 3 reds but I bet we threw back 10 or 15 that were under sized. All mine were on plum chartreuse assassins. Water temp was around 53 all day.

I figured out a good excuse for missing bites which is somewhat true. Every time I made a good cast my phone would ring and by the time I hung up we'd drift over my bait and i'd be trolling behind the boat. Lol.
