Some people see a conspiracy on every corner and the "gubment" is out to take away all their rights and liberties......sad. The "gubment" is made up of PEOPLE voted in by you and me and they assign and appoint officials to oversee most of the agencies we depend on to keep us safe and protected from a multitude of natural and unnatural conditions. I, for one, think the game wardens are doing a great job given their limited resources and the huge areas they are expected to patrol...and I have never met one that was not courteous and respectful. As far as the liberals wanting to regulate us to extinction, that is just foolish....this is a red state, with a red governor, and a red house and senate......the appointments made to almost all agencies are their choices, not liberal choices....that said, I think conservatives care just as much about our fishing resources as liberals do and I applaud them and TPWD in an aggressive campaign to get our opinion before changing the rules (it's called democracy). The only regulation I would like to see debated (and possibly be added if the data justifies the change) is the use of live croakers for trout fishing in the summer spawning season. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems that there just aren't the big croakers in the bays like there used to be and I suspect (although I have no proof) that using the juveniles as trout bait is at least a partial cause.

I,ve called to, they should be on the jetties more often and not out in their boats messing with us. I throw most of my fish back and always have a license. I would say most boaters obey the law compared to the bank fisherman. I know there aren't many of them, but they should work the masses more often. never seen one on the jetty.
the fishing was good,it was the catching that was bad.

Hope the front hurries up and gets here and blows through. Had to winch my boat on the trailer from way out. Less water than I've seen in a long, long time. If someone caught fish today, I want to shake their hand.
I caught a few trout today.

The problem with lowering limits is that it's based on a political agenda by whoever, CCA, Austin piss, paddle, and pole each other, and not because there is a problem. Next they will have a season for trout, then catch and release, then NO FISHING scenic areas.

Big government intrusion on every level and it's getting bigger every year . They have to justify their existence and money expenditure by finding problems that need to be " fixed " . No " problems " and their money and jobs dry up .

If the TPWD would assign a Warden to patrol just the Dike, think of the tons of illegal undersized fish that would save. I have seen people filling up 5 gallon buckets of every fish they catch no matter how small or the species. And I see it every time I go to those places. It seems strange to want to impose a smaller bag limit instead of the enforcing limits we have now.
True sounds like a good olan

Don't think it can't happen here, and probably will.
