    Hello there!

    I just moved down here to Kemah from Colorado in August and finally got out fishing for the first time down here this weekend. Spent most of Saturday fishing shrimp on a fish finder rig off the South side of the Texas City Dike about 500ft from the end. Didn't get a single bite, but till better than sitting at home.

    Never did much aside from shore fishing up I Colorado, I was wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks that they would like to share with a newbie to saltwater.

    welcome to the site. u were almost in the right spot for the end of the dike, east of the marker is the flounder hole and some reds to. read the threads on this site and u will learn tons of info! will be in kemah tomorrow at crazy allens swamp shack around 2for oysters and crawfish. pm me if u can b there.

        WELCOME ! For starters , go to Academy or Fishing Tackle Unlimited and buy Pat Murrey's book , THE NO NONSENSE GUIDE TO COASTAL FISHING .
