Started out this morning at Anahuac National Refuge about 6:00 am. No bait, water was lightly stained but decent vis. The Duck Hunters were blastin' with volleys every 5 minutes or so. After a ew hours o grindin with various Corkies and Trout Killers I gave up a left.....Deided to take ferry and head for the house. As soon as it landed I deided to go ahed an check out behind the airport and Golf Course. Man I have never seen Offat so clear! Anyway fished hard couple ore horsworkig my way ll the way to the runway light tressle, not even a bite.(keyboard goin out I gess). Anyway Im planning on gong couple days this upcoming week, My boat/Waverunner purchase cannt come soon enough, tired of watching the birds working just out range.......Yall have a Blessed New year!

Brother let me tell you. I have had a jam-up great day today. Fished only west bay slow drifting the 2' to 6' drop offs with several pot lickers in tow. Well I was simply killing the reds and I noticed I was the only one. Thought it was just my day as I had already picked up two fat girls at 26.5 and 27 on my first drift and the occasional trout nothing big but in the 19" rang had 4 by lunch. Finally a guy and his son eased up behind me and straight out asked what they were biting on. I want everyone to enjoy their day on the water so I happily advised. (ALL BLACK/MIDNIGHT GLOW W/ LME TAIL if anyone's interested) finally finished up my trout stringer back in greens in about 2'of water with my voodoo shrimp under a popping cork. Have a happy NEW YEAR. By the way..

You had a tough day fishing, but I think most of us have been there. I know I have.

I do know that after all the traveling and striking out, at the end of the day I was able to look back and know that I am truly blessed. 2013 saw me walk away from a Pulmonary Embolism, My eldest scored 1730 on her SAT, I was able to provide for my family, I fished (a lot) and my wife does not appear to be leaving me any time soon (I think shes waiting to finish nursing school lol) Yep, brothers I am truly blessed, God is good!
