I am after FISH-one almost killed me in 1992 (got some virus 35 miles out from a red snapper (Fish, not other) and was bedridden for a month, surgery and missed deer season, so I try to give em payback and kill as many as I can.

Trout look cool but you can't beat the pull of a red. On the other hand, getting a big trout to jump is pretty exciting stuff too.

when i caught my frist tropy trout it was't a big deal no pics or nothing because my grandmother had a heart attack and passed away the day before. she would have wanted us to finish the annaual family fishing trip. the trout was 29 and 3/4........still want to get a wall hanger

i have a secret method to catching big trout. i haven't busted 28 but have hit it twice. here's the deal.....
tell steve_a it's your birthday. make it up if you have to. he gives you a lure. first time, pink corky, 28 inch trout baffin.
2nd time bone super spook, 28 inch trout port mansfield.
steve, december is just around the corner...hint hint.
i really didn't get the big trout obsession till i saw that big spotted back surface in baffin and i realized it was a trout. i was weak in the knees till i landed her. then i got it!! amazing creatures.
