I've fished those areas a lot , usually in the kayak . I'm not keen on fishing from the boat but will drift as needed . But I could do a boat trip . You ever motored through Yates to the Sun Oil cuts ? Kayaked back there a long time ago but it took 30 minutes for my cramped claws to release the paddle when done .

I went to 2 Jim West's seminars at Stingaree Marina . I won a $250 rod in the raffle . You stay in the boat ? You said you only do boat fishing now .

I'll wade. I like drifting mid-bay reefs best.

I see boats run to Sun Oil cut via Yates and Little Pasture . It's skinny running and my Explorer can do that but I'm leery to go alone in case something comes up . I'll have to dig up my East Bay map that I wrote West's seminar notes and spots on . He never mentioned fishing back there .

Lol. I don't think he really wanted to go back there but we had a 25 east wind sustained and needed some relief. Jim works hard.
