I guess not , Randy. I have some old Revo Premiers that are really good but I don't know about the new ones .

i have one, worked great for about a year then the pin on the side that holds the brake plate on snapped off inside there. of course that isnt under manf. warrenty so i really dont have a clue how to fix it... but other than that was great $300 reel
Think like a fish no matter how weird it gets…

I like my shimano's too. But that little lews speeds pool is easy on my wrist on a four hour cast-a-thon.

Saw some at baad on hwy. 6. 120.00 and up. Might get a better deal at acrapedy or ftu. IMO worth every penny.

Years ago I had Shimanos but after every trip it was wet inside and I had to take it apart and clean it . I switched to a Abu Garcia Revo and a Quantum with magnetic brakes instead of ABS braking system . They were bone dry inside after fishing and I love being able to easily adjust the breaks with a twist of the dial . The new Abu Garcia's have both ABS and magnetic brakes which I don't like as much .

having both breaks (centrifugal and magnetic) is good once they are adjusted correctly.

I had a Revo STX for a short time and liked it.

I fish with Lews now for for reasons not pertaining to Abu... I like the Lews Tournament Pro and the Inshore as well.

I have always thrown Shimano. I currently use the Core's and love them but I am always looking for the best. And as plugger said the adjustment on the side is really cool.

Whoa now! Is anybody else having issues with their shimanos getting wet on the inside? I thought they were sealed systems at least the drag and bearings are supposed to be... that comment just made me pucker a little bit after recently switching from stx to chronarchs!!

I had the Chronarchs years ago . I am curious as how dry they are now . I still like the magnetic brake system .
