  • Ran into AJ Foyt yesterday!

Yes, I was having a few drinking in my local watering hole in Tomball and AJ Foyt walks in. I guess he is a regular for dinnner (not drinks), because the owner said... what's up AJ and he just said... the rent! How cool is this guy. He is a man amongest boys and he is a legend! Anyway, it was really cool seeing him since I am a huge race fan.

I think Fishbobr used to be his mechanic. No kiddin'. I don't know much about racing though, might have been one of those other guys.

He has a ranch out west on HWY90 near Uvalde or Brackettville. I cant remember exactly. But I used to pass it on my way to my old lease in Del Rio.

Thats cool that you saw him.

He had a place at Fort Clark Springs. Used to see him there during season.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

Yea Sandy, fishbobr was on his pit crew for a few years building engines and jumping over the wall fueling the car. He has some great stories about AJ, we need to get him to tell some out at the camp.

One story I have is, I was at the IRL race in Ft. Worth years ago and we were in the garage after the race and AJ clocked Arne Lyiedtich (can't remember how to spell his name). The great thing was, we were 10 ft from him when he clocked the dude for crashing his driver. It was all over TV.

I used to run into AJ at Fort Clark Springs restuarant in Brackettville also. Just a regular dude but He didn't get around too good. Too many smacks into the wall racing I think.

                          Ft. Clark Springs

his accomodation there was the old generals' quarters. quite nice as 'camps' go. i missed one of the biggest bucks i've ever seen there. it was the old B&R lease and back in the day -before my hunts- you didn't raise a finger anything you wanted if they didn't have it they went to get it. i don't remember how many acres but it's alot thousands on both sides of the road. AJ is a living legend. i worked ther from 85 for three years. met General Chuck Yeager. in 86 he drove the pacecar and spent quite a bit of time in our garage.
