  • Lake sabine boat launch

I would appreciate input as to what boat ramps to use and to avoid on the texas and louisiana sides of lake sabine .

I put in on the Neches River at a park.

plenty of parking and somewhat safe feeling for a boat ramp.

We normally use the one by the old Landry's, right off Hwy 73 under the rainbow bridge. It's a $3 launch opposed to Port Neches being free, but it puts you right on the lake. MY dad has been doing very well fishing the wind protected shorelines over the last month. I hope to get out there after our morning hunts this weekend.

Why not . It' about a 2 hour drive but a good fishery . I don't know the waters but that can be done . An adventure . Gilbert sounds like a player .

need a loseranna fishing license and mop up on the flounder. You just have to launch on the loseranna side. $17.50 for a one day license. No size limit on flounder, 10 per person. Redfish only have to be 16" and 5 per person. Plus the bonus 25 trout limit.

I was thinking the same about launching on the lou . Side . I had a lou . License one year...$ 75 . I too would like some quality flounder . All the talk about scores of this fish , that fish , sounds good or greedy if you like , but , my experience is that you don't get 25 trout , 10 flounder . I don"t get a limit of trout and flounder here . I think the fishery would be safe with a few texas boys on the lake . Probably get skunked .

I can go fridays or saturdays , but , it appears most are stuck with saturday or sunday .

I don't know your ages...but..I understand that seniors with a valid TX license can fish LA (without a LA license) on a reciprocity deal. ...Rich
