  • Where to fish near Beaumont ???

Hey Guys, I'm looking for a good place to launch my boat, buy shrimp, and fish near Beaumont. Any suggestions??

You'd do better down at Sabine-only crabs, hardheads and ??? in Beaumont.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

Sabine, River, take 90 south exit, below I10 big public ramp, bait shops in area, hit all structure and bends in bayous, good fishery

I would try launching at Port Neches Park, running up river and fishing the refinery across from Bessie Heights. There should be a lot of shad working so just use your cast net for bait.

The lower Sabine has better water. Two old refineries around Port Neches down to Port Arthur are like Superfund sites, been dirty since 1938 or so. I'd rather fish down where the Gulf flushes out things towards Sabine Pass. I don't know the boat ramps down there but there are a few. I like to fish good water and feel good about it. Beaumont doesn't have good water unless you go up the Neches River a piece where the ships and barges don't go. I don't now about today but the bass fishing in the freshwater part of the Neches used to be legendary, it's on my bucket list.
